Give people the opportunity to share some of the things they personally like to do for each of Groov’s 6 Pillars of Wellbeing.
OBJECTIVES
Inviting people to share is impactful because it:
Drives people to think about their own wellbeing, bringing it front of mind
Normalises talking about wellbeing in the workplace
Provides an opportunity for teammates to connect with one another
Provides insight into teammates’ lives, including their interests/hobbies
Inspires people to try new ways of looking after themselves
HOW TO GET STARTED
Your 6-week plan
Set up an internal communications channel, such as Microsoft Teams or Slack, to share ideas, ask questions, and chat about all things wellbeing at [workplace].
Post in the channel with a description of what’s coming up, such as: “We’re kicking off with a refresher of the 6 Pillars over the coming few weeks. Remember, LEAD is all about prioritising your own wellbeing and creating a wellbeing plan that works for you. The 6 Pillars are a great way to do this. So, over the next few weeks, each [Wednesday], we’ll post here about one of the 6 Pillars. We’ll then ask you to share some of the things you like to do to support that Pillar. Through this, we encourage you to build or refresh/review your Daily Mental Wellbeing Plan (see the attached worksheet). Looking forward to having more conversations about our wellbeing in the coming weeks! Please get in touch if you have any questions or feedback.”
Each week, include a snippet from the 6 Pillars poster, a link to the relevant Module, and write an encouraging call-to-action such as: “This week we’re focusing on the [Celebrate] Pillar. [This is all about noticing good things and treating yourself with kindness. It’s about taking the time to appreciate and celebrate the amazingness that is YOU. What are 3 things you’re grateful for, and 3 things you’re proud of yourself for?]”
