Ritual Builder

Groov intranet template

It’s important that your people are informed of all that is available to them from Groov. Below is what we recommend you share internally, via your preferred platforms, to support your employees.

How to use this

  • Use this as soon as soon as you launch Groov! You can access this and add to your internal platform as you see fit. For example, if you haven’t rolled out Modules, Rituals, or Channel Groov yet, you can wait until the right time to share information about this.

  • Consider which platforms and channels you can use to house this information. It should be the go-to place for information and resources that everyone can access (likely an intranet site). We recommend having a dedicated ‘Wellbeing’ or ‘Groov’ section if possible.

  • Copy and paste the text below onto your platform under the relevant headings. Insert your workplace-specific information where required. For example, the link to your Ritual Builder website.

  • We have provided some images for you to upload alongside each section, as you see fit. You can also find our logo and other supporting images in our Asset Kit here.

  • Groov is all about helping you feel good and function well. The workplace mental wellbeing platform gives you tools to thrive – to find your Groov!

    • Worry Map – for letting go of worries and making an action plan

    • Soundscape Mixer – create sounds to help you relax, fall asleep, or boost your mood

  • Use the Groov Ritual Builder to create rituals that boost wellbeing for you and your workplace.

    What’s a ritual?

Put simply, a ritual is made up of a trigger and an action.ger. It’s important to choose things that are simple and enjoyable.

    Triggers = the reminder

Rituals work well because they have a reminder (trigger) built into it. That means you’re relying less on willpower, which is important when life gets busy or things get stressful. Triggers should be things you already do frequently and automatically.

Examples of triggers include: stopping at a red light, brushing your teeth, waking up, going to sleep, eating a meal, checking your phone/emails.

Actions = what we do to feel good

Actions are the wellbeing habits you anchor to a trigger. It’s important to choose things that are simple and enjoyable.

Examples of actions include: deep breathing, stretching, calling a friend, checking in with your five senses. For more ideas, look to the 6 Pillars, or talk to your team.

By choosing the right triggers and actions, you’ll create rituals that make wellbeing easy,  normal, and routine.

    Team rituals

Team rituals are for teams or groups of co-workers who work closely together. Science tells us that peer accountability can be very helpful for making new habits stick, so creating team rituals is a great way for team members to support each other in living wellbeing day-to-day. Team rituals can also help create an enjoyable shared experience that strengthens the team's culture.

For team rituals to be successful, it’s essential that the team are involved in creating the ritual as a group.

    Ritual Ideas

Triggers and actions come in all shapes and sizes - check out this page for ideas

    The Groov Ritual Builder

The Groov Ritual Builder makes it easy to record team and company rituals, and to share them with the rest of the organisation. You can find [WORKPLACE] ritual builder here [LINK TO YOUR WORKPLACE RITUAL BUILDER URL].

Publishing company and team rituals will help the commitments stick, and signals to the whole organisation that everyone has a role to play in making wellbeing the normal way of working.
